Timnah (Enaim)

Genesis 38:14

Tamar was aware that shelah had grown up, but no arrangements had been made for here to come and marry him. So she changed out of her widow's clothing and covered herself with a veil to disguise herself. Then she sat beside the road at the entrance to the village of Enaim, which is on the road to Timnah.

她瑪見示拉已經長大，還沒有娶她為妻，就脫了她做寡婦的衣裳，用帕子蒙著臉，又遮住身體，坐在亭拿路上的伊拿印城門口。
그래서 다말은 과부들이 입는 옷을 벗고 얼굴을 베일로 가렸습니다. 다말은 에나임 문에 앉았습니다. 에나임 문은 딤나로 가는 길에 있었습니다. 다말이 이런일을 한까닭은 유다의 막내 아들인 셀라가 다커서 어른이 되었는데도,유다가 그아들을 자기와 결혼시키려 하지 않았기 때문입니다.

Hebron

Genesis 37:14

Go and see how your brothers and the flocks are getting along," Jacob said. "Then come back and bring me a report." So Jacob sent him on his way, and Joseph traveled to Shechem from their home in the valley of Hebron.

以色列說：「你去看看你哥哥們平安不平安，群羊平安不平安，就回來報信給我。」於是打發他出希伯崙谷，他就往示劍去了。

Adullam

Genesis 38:1

About this time, Jedah left home and moved to Adullam, where he stayed with a man named Hirah.

그 무렵에 유다는 자기 형제들 곁을 떠났습니다. 유다는 히라라는 사람과 함께 살았습니다. 히라는 아둘람 마을 사람이었습니다.

Dothan

Genesis 37:17

"Yes," the man told him. "They have moved on from here,but I heard them say, 'Let's go on to Dothan.'" So Joseph followed this brothers to Dothan and found them there.

那人說：「他們已經走了，我聽見他們說要往多坍去。」約瑟就去追趕他哥哥們，遇見他們在多坍。
 그 사람이 말했습니다. "네 형들은 이미 다른 데로 갔다. 네형들이 '도단으로 가자' 라고 말하는 것을 들었다." 그래서 요셉은 형들을 뒤쫓아가 도단에서 형들을 찾았습니다.

Seir (Mt. Seir) and Edom

Genesis 34:16

So Esau turned around and started back to Seir that same day.

그리하여 그날, 에서는 세일 쪽으로 다시 돌아갔습니다.

Genesis 36:8

So Esau (also known as Edom) settled in the hill country of Seir.

그래서 에서는 세일 산에 살았습니다. 에서는 에돔 이라고도 부릅니다.

Genesis 36:9

This is the account of Esau's descendants, the Edomites, who lived in the hill country of Seir.

에서는 세일 산에 살았으며, 에돔 사람들의 조상입니다.

Succoth and Shechem

Genesis 34:17

Jacob, on the other hand, traveled on to Succoth. There he built himself a house and made shelters for his livestock. That is why the place was named Succoth (which means "shelters").

하지만 야곱은 숙곳으로 갔습니다. 그곳에서 야곱은 자기 식구들이 머물 집을 지었습니다. 그리고 짐승들을 위해 우리를 지어 주었습니다. 그래서 그곳의 이름은 숙곳이 되었습니다.

Genesis 34:18

Later, having traveled all the way from Paddan-aram, Jacob arrived safely at the town of Shechem, in the land of Cannan. There he set up camp outside the town.

야곱은 밧단아람을 떠나 가나안땅 세겜성에 무사히 이르렀습니다. 야곱은 성동쪽에 장막을 쳤습니다.

Jegar Sahadutha (Ramoth Gilead),Galeed and Mizpah

Genesis 31:47

To commemorate the event, Laban called the place Jegar-sahadutha ( which means "withness pile" in Aramaic), and Jacob called it Galeed ( which means "witness pile" in Hebrew).

라반이 그곳의 이름을 자기 나라 말로 여갈사하두다 라고 지었습니다. 야곱도 똑같은 이름을 히브리 말로 갈르엣이라고 지어 불렀습니다.

Genesis 31:49

But it was also called Mizpah (which means "watchtower"), for Laban said, May the Yahuwah Keep watch between us to make sure that we keep this covenant when we are out of each other's sight.

또한 그곳은 미스바 라고 부르기도 합니다. 그렇게 부르는 까닭은 라반이 이렇게 말했기 떄문입니다. 우리가 서로 헤어져 있는 동안, 야후와께서 우리를 지켜 보시기를 바라네.
